Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP)

The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) is a Federal Advisory Committee to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that helps identify and address tax issues important to taxpayers. Comprising 75 citizen volunteers from diverse backgrounds and locations, TAP listens to taxpayers, identifies their concerns, and makes recommendations to improve IRS services and customer satisfaction. By providing a taxpayer perspective on key IRS programs, products, and services, TAP plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall taxpayer experience. Gregory A.
