Upload Documents from Your Mobile Device (SmartVault)
Use your phone or tablet to add documents to SmartVault using either SmartScan (camera-based scanning with edge detection) or Traditional Upload (choose existing files).

1 Sign in & open the upload flow
On your mobile device (Safari/Chrome), sign in to the SmartVault Portal and tap Upload a Document.
Mobile portal: tap Upload a Document.
2 Choose destination & upload method
- Select the folder where you want to upload.
- Tap Upload file.
- Choose one of the two methods:
- SmartScan: Use your camera to scan pages; SmartVault auto‑detects edges and enhances the image.
- Traditional Upload: Pick existing files from your device.
Select a folder, then choose your upload method.
3 Option A — Use SmartScan (multi‑page scan → PDF)
- Tap Take a Photo and allow camera access if prompted.
- Position the document within the frame; tap Start Scanning.
- Scan additional pages as needed (creates one multi‑page document).
- Tap the Page Counter (bottom right) to review pages.
- Delete or rearrange pages if necessary; tap Submit.
- Tap Save to upload the combined PDF to your chosen folder.
SmartScan: capture, review, and save as a multi‑page PDF.
4 Option B — Traditional Upload (choose existing files)
- Tap Select a File.
- Pick a source:
- Photo Library — choose existing photos/images
- Take Photo — capture a new image now
- Choose Files — pick files stored on your device
- Select one or multiple files and tap Save to upload.
Traditional upload: choose from your library, take a photo, or browse files.
5 Tips for better scans (SmartScan)
- Use good, even lighting; avoid shadows and glare.
- Place documents on a dark, contrasting background.
- Keep the device steady; let SmartScan detect edges.
- Review pages before saving; delete/re‑order as needed.
SmartScan automatically detects edges and enhances documents. Multiple pages are combined into one PDF. Traditional uploads keep original formats.
6 Notes & supported file types
- You can upload multiple files at once.
- Common types: PDF and image formats (e.g., JPG/PNG).
- Files are stored in the SmartVault folder you selected.
